Badminton Estate | Gloucestershire

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Property Maintenance Surveyor to join the team at Badminton Estate, one of the country's most prestigious and historic landed estates. Working across an exceptional portfolio of residential, agricultural, commercial, and heritage property, you'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing buildings that form part of a nationally recognised rural estate.
This is a varied role offering far more than a typical maintenance position. You'll be involved in everything from listed building repairs and refurbishment projects to contractor management, property inspections, compliance, and planned maintenance programmes.

Working closely with the Clerk of Works and other departments, you’ll become a trusted member of a collaborative estate team with genuine responsibility and autonomy.
The Role
You'll coordinate and oversee repair, maintenance, and refurbishment works across the estate, ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard whilst protecting the long-term integrity of the property portfolio.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Carrying out property inspections and identifying maintenance requirements.
- Preparing schedules of repair and improvement works.
- Managing contractors and monitoring quality on site.
- Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities.
- Supporting compliance across the portfolio.
- Monitoring maintenance expenditure and project costs.
- Contributing to the delivery of long-term maintenance strategies.
- Supporting wider estate operations where required.
About You
We're interested in speaking with candidates from a range of backgrounds, including:
- Building Surveying
- Clerk of Works
- Property Maintenance
- Estate Management
- Construction Management
- Facilities or Asset Management
You'll have a good understanding of building construction and maintenance, enjoy working closely with contractors, and take pride in delivering high-quality outcomes. Experience with heritage, listed, or rural properties would be advantageous but is by no means essential.
