Property management is the engine room of a lettings business: detailed, deadline-driven and built on trust. This internship gives you a structured, supervised introduction to how that work is done to a professional UK standard. It suits someone organised, discreet and genuinely interested in a property career.
How the internship works
The placement runs for three to six months with a named supervisor, monthly objectives and regular reviews. You will be given real responsibility in measured steps, always with someone checking your work. An honest written reference is provided at the end of the placement.
What you will learn
- How a tenancy runs from referencing to check-out
- The key UK compliance touchpoints a managing agent must stay on top of — gas safety, electrical (EICR), EPCs, deposit protection and Right to Rent — at a working, learning level
- How to communicate clearly with landlords, tenants and contractors

What you'll do
- Support tenancy administration: referencing, tenancy agreements, inventories and check-ins and check-outs
- Help coordinate maintenance requests with contractors and follow jobs through to completion
- Assist with compliance tracking — gas safety certificates, EICRs, EPCs and deposit-protection deadlines
- Maintain accurate property and tenancy records in our systems
- Help prepare routine property inspection reports
- Respond to straightforward tenant and landlord queries under supervision
- Support rent tracking and arrears administration

What we're looking for
- A genuine interest in a career in UK property, lettings or operations
- Eligibility to undertake an internship in the UK
- Strong organisation and accuracy with administrative tasks
- Clear, professional written and spoken English
- Discretion when handling confidential information
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and quick to learn new software
Nice to have
- Awareness of UK lettings legislation — Right to Rent, deposit protection and the Renters' Rights framework
- Studying towards a property, business or law-related qualification
- A full UK driving licence, useful for property visits
