Role Description
The Property Manager is a full-time role, responsible for the day-to-day management of a residential property portfolio. Key activities include handling tenant enquiries, coordinating move-ins and move-outs, managing repairs and maintenance, and ensuring properties meet safety and compliance standards. The role involves regular property inspections, overseeing contractors and suppliers, and maintaining accurate records and documentation. The Property Manager will also manage rent collection processes, address arrears, support rent reviews, and provide clear, professional communication to landlords, tenants, and internal teams.

- Strong property management and residential lettings experience, including managing maintenance, inspections, and tenant relations.
- Solid knowledge of UK housing regulations, health and safety standards, and compliance requirements relevant to residential property.
- Competence with property management software, CRM systems, and standard office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, digital calendars).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally and diplomatically.
- Effective organizational and time-management skills, including prioritizing multiple properties, tasks, and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently on-site, while collaborating closely with colleagues across the wider John D Wood & Co. network.
- Experience coordinating contractors and suppliers, including obtaining quotes, overseeing work, and ensuring quality and cost-efficiency.
- Relevant qualifications in property management, real estate, surveying, or a related field are beneficial; professional membership (e.g., ARLA/Propertymark) is an advantage.
