For people who can keep calm when everyone else is losing theirs.

Property Management is not just about repairs, emails and tenancy paperwork. It is about judgement. It is about knowing when to be firm, when to listen, when to investigate, when to escalate, and when to take ownership before a small issue becomes a bigger problem.

At Martyn Gerrard, we are looking for a Property Manager who understands that great service is not simply about being polite. It is about being reliable, accountable, commercially aware and organised enough that landlords and tenants feel they are in safe hands. This role would suit someone who can think clearly under pressure, communicate professionally and see a situation from both sides — the landlord and the tenant — without losing sight of the facts.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Property Manager role

As a Property Manager, you might be dealing with a leaking roof in the morning, rent arrears before lunch, a landlord complaint in the afternoon and a deposit dispute by the end of the day. A great Property Manager does not panic. They prioritise, communicate and take control.

You will manage a portfolio of residential properties and act as the key point of contact for landlords, tenants, contractors and internal teams. The role requires someone who can balance service, compliance, commercial awareness and empathy, while keeping accurate records and driving matters through to completion.

Key responsibilities

  • Communicating clearly with landlords, tenants and contractors
  • Managing deposit releases and disputes
  • Supporting rent arrears and end-of-tenancy processes
  • Managing risk, compliance and service standards

  • Managing expectations professionally
  • Resolving issues calmly and constructively
  • Working with your team to deliver a consistent service

The Challenge

This is not a role for someone who wants an easy inbox. This is a role for someone who wants to become genuinely good at Property Management. Landlords trust us with one of their biggest assets. Tenants trust us with their home. A great Property Manager understands the importance of both. If you are calm under pressure, organised, commercially aware, good with people and willing to take ownership, we would like to hear from you.
