Property Manager (Surveyor)

Duration: ASAP Start - 27th November 2026 (Paternity Leave Cover)

Location: One Centenary Way, Birmingham, West Midlands, B3 3AY (Potential support across other locations), United Kingdom.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a commercial office building or portfolio.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, tenants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Build and maintain strong tenant relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, financial reports, and reconciliations.
  • Review financial statements, occupancy reports, and lease expirations.
  • Oversee lease administration, lease compliance, and tenant onboarding activities.
  • Coordinate maintenance, repairs, capital projects, and tenant improvement works.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
  • Manage service contracts, vendor performance, and procurement activities.
  • Support tenant move-ins and move-outs while minimizing operational disruption.
  • Work closely with engineering, facilities, and accounting teams to deliver property objectives.
  • Provide regular updates to clients and leadership on operational and financial performance.

Desired or Preferred Experience and Technical Skills

  • 2-4 years of commercial property management, surveying, or commercial real estate experience.
  • Experience managing office or mixed-use commercial properties.
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of lease administration, lease compliance, and tenant engagement.
  • Experience managing maintenance, capital projects, and tenant improvement works.
  • Strong understanding of building operations and facilities management.
  • Experience managing contractors, service providers, and vendor relationships.
  • Ability to analyse financial statements and property performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Degree in Real Estate, Property, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline preferred.
  • LEED AP or LEED Green Associate accreditation preferred.
  • Real Estate/Property Management Licence (or willingness to obtain within 6 months if required).

Additional Information

  • Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week.
  • Typical hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00/5:30 PM.
  • Client-facing role within a leading global real estate organisation.
  • Potential opportunity to support additional sites and future contract assignments.
  • Background checks required, including Criminal Record, Credit, Education, Employment, Right to Work, and ID Verification.
