Property Manager – York | £35,000 + Car Allowance | Hybrid
We're recruiting for a well-established property business managing a growing portfolio of single-family homes across Yorkshire. Due to continued growth, they're looking for a Property Manager to join their York office on a hybrid basis.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants ownership of their own portfolio and the backing of a genuinely supportive team, working for a business that manages homes the right way rather than just chasing numbers.
The role
- Managing a portfolio of single-family rental properties across Yorkshire (120 units - some mixed use)
- Building strong relationships with landlords, tenants, and contractors
- Overseeing property inspections, maintenance, and compliance
- Managing move-ins, move-outs, and renewals
- Handling day-to-day queries and resolving issues quickly and professionally
- Working closely with the wider team to keep the portfolio running smoothly

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
