Property Manager, Glasgow
Up to £32,500 + annual bonus | Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours
Yates Hellier is a founder-owned Glasgow agency covering residential lettings, property management, and sales. We’ve built our name over more than a decade by doing things properly: looking after landlords’ property as if it were our own, and giving clients a service they can’t get elsewhere.
We’re looking for an experienced Property Manager to take on their own portfolio of residential properties across Glasgow. You’ll already be doing this job in Scotland, and you’ll want to work where standards are high and good work gets noticed.
What you’ll do
- Own a portfolio of residential properties from tenancy start to checkout, as the main point of contact for your landlords (using SME)
- Keep every property fully compliant, with all safety certificates and regulatory requirements tracked and up to date (using Fixflo)
- Get to the root of maintenance issues, and raise and manage jobs quickly and cost-effectively
- Make sure every property has a detailed, objective inventory before the tenancy starts and a thorough checkout report at the end
- Manage the inspection schedule for your portfolio, and make sure landlords get clear, detailed reports after every visit
- Negotiate deposit deductions fairly and efficiently, and manage the release through SafeDeposits Scotland
- Work closely with our sales and lettings teams
- Keep your knowledge current through ongoing training and industry events

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
