Our Vacancy
We have an exciting opportunity for a Property Officer to join our Contracts & Compliance team and play a key role in supporting our response to the increasing volume of damp and mould cases, as well as new housing hazards that fall within the scope of Awaab's Law. This is an important position that helps ensure our residents live in safe, healthy homes while supporting compliance with evolving legislation. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you will provide a proactive and customer-focused service, helping to monitor completed works, coordinate inspections, support complaint handling, and contribute to continuous service improvement.
What you'll be doing
As a Property Officer, you'll:
- Undertake regular post-inspections of completed damp, mould and other hazard-related works to ensure our residents' homes are free from defects and compliant with legislative requirements.
- Arrange and manage inspection appointments, maintain accurate records and reports, and identify any further actions required to resolve outstanding issues.
- Act as a first point of contact for residents and colleagues regarding Awaab's Law-related enquiries, ensuring excellent customer service and timely communication through phone calls, emails and written correspondence.
- Work closely with internal repairs teams, contractors and surveyors to help resolve issues efficiently, support complaint handling, assist with audits and data reporting, and contribute to ongoing service improvements and digital ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
