Property Paralegal | West End | Legal 500 & Spears Ranked Firm | Genuine Route to Qualification
Are you a Property Paralegal looking for a genuine route to qualification, with the opportunity to build qualifying experience and ultimately secure an NQ position?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded West End firm that is actively investing in its paralegals with the intention of developing and retaining successful candidates as qualified solicitors.
Rather than simply being another paralegal position, this role offers a structured pathway towards qualification, with the opportunity to gain substantial qualifying experience within the Property team and work towards becoming an NQ.
The Firm
Originally established as an award-winning niche real estate practice, the firm has evolved into one of the major multi-disciplinary firms in London's West End. Ranked in the Legal 500 and recognised by Spears, it now has highly regarded teams across Banking & Property Finance, Corporate & Commercial, Tax, Restructuring & Recovery, Dispute Resolution, Planning, Private Wealth and Construction.
Despite this growth, the firm has retained its personable and entrepreneurial approach, with a strong emphasis on developing its people. Junior lawyers and paralegals benefit from close Partner exposure, hands-on training and meaningful responsibility from an early stage.
The firm is widely praised for its supportive, friendly and collegiate culture, with a strong reputation for mentoring and career development. You will work closely with leading Partners, gain hands-on experience from an early stage and benefit from a clear pathway for progression, alongside a level of flexibility and work-life balance that can be harder to find within larger City firms.
The Team
The role sits within one of the largest and most established mid-market Real Estate teams in the West End, advising a diverse client base across both commercial and residential property. The team has built a strong reputation for handling high-quality and complex work, offering the breadth of a larger practice while retaining the accessibility, close Partner contact and personable culture of a leading West End firm.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The team handles a broad range of work including acquisitions and disposals, development, investment, landlord and tenant matters and residential property, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to develop broad and commercially relevant property experience.
With a recent Partner hire, there will be a significant plot sales workload, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to support on this work while also assisting across the wider commercial property practice and the team's substantial property administration.
With a strong pipeline of work and continued investment in the practice, this is an excellent environment in which to build a long-term career in Property. You will work closely with experienced solicitors and Partners, gaining meaningful hands-on experience and responsibility from an early stage.
The Qualification Opportunity
The key attraction of this role is the genuine commitment to getting the successful candidate qualified.
You will join the firm as a Property Paralegal and gain substantial qualifying experience while working within the Property team. Given the introduction of the SQE, there is flexibility around how the qualification pathway is structured, and the traditional four-seat training contract model does not necessarily need to apply in the same way.
Subject to the relevant SQE requirements and qualifying experience, there is potential to qualify through your work within a single area of practice rather than undertaking four separate seats.
Your development and qualifying experience will be closely monitored, with a strong focus on ensuring you are trained to a high standard and given the experience needed to progress.
The firm's intention is to retain successful candidates as NQs, making this a genuine long-term career opportunity rather than simply a paralegal position.
