Role Description
The Property Reinsurance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the City of London. This role is responsible for managing property reinsurance portfolios, including assessing risk, structuring and placing reinsurance treaties, and monitoring performance against underwriting and financial targets.

- Analyzing property exposure data
- Reviewing submissions
- Negotiating terms with brokers and reinsurers
- Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Preparing reports and forecasts
- Collaborating with underwriting, finance, and accounting teams
- Contributing to the development of reinsurance strategies to support business growth
- Maintaining strong relationships with market counterparts
- Supporting continuous improvement of processes and tools
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex data and model property risk and exposure.
- Solid insurance and reinsurance knowledge, with experience in property lines and familiarity with global markets.
- Underwriting expertise related to property risks and reinsurance structures, including treaty and facultative arrangements.
- Finance and accounting skills sufficient to understand portfolio performance, profitability drivers, and capital implications.
- Relevant professional experience in reinsurance, insurance, or risk management, ideally within property classes.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or Risk Management; professional qualifications (e.g., ACII or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
