Location: Park Gate, Southampton

Full-time, permanent

OTE: £28,500–£33,000+ depending on experience and performance

We’re looking for a confident, personable and proactive Property Sales Advisor / Sales Negotiator to join our friendly team at Robinson Reade in Park Gate.

We are an established independent estate agency covering Park Gate, Locks Heath, Warsash, Whiteley and the surrounding areas. We’re a busy high-street office with an experienced team and a strong emphasis on providing a genuinely personal service to both buyers and sellers.

For us, good estate agency isn't simply about registering an applicant and waiting for them to call back. We want someone who enjoys talking to people, asks the right questions and gets to know what buyers are really looking for – then spots opportunities, suggests properties they may not have considered and gets them out viewing.

Previous estate agency experience would be an advantage, but it isn't essential. We would equally consider someone with a strong background in sales or customer service who has the right personality, initiative and ability to build relationships.

What you'll be doing

You'll be involved in all aspects of our day-to-day residential sales operation, including:

  • Registering new buyers and getting to know their requirements and circumstances
  • Proactively matching applicants to suitable properties and generating viewings
  • Booking and accompanying property viewings
  • Following up viewings and providing useful, constructive feedback to our sellers
  • Negotiating offers and helping to bring sales together
  • Keeping in regular contact with buyers and sellers by telephone, email and face-to-face
  • Identifying opportunities for market appraisals
  • Managing appointments and diaries
  • Assisting with property marketing
  • Introducing clients to our mortgage and conveyancing partners
  • Working alongside the rest of the team to deliver a great service from first enquiry through to agreed sale

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

As the role involves attending properties for viewings and other appointments, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required. We also have a company pool car available for business use.

Why Robinson Reade?

We're an independent agency, which means you won't be just another number in a large corporate branch. You'll work closely with experienced colleagues, have the opportunity to develop your skills and be encouraged to contribute ideas rather than simply follow a script.

We're serious about doing a good job for our clients, but we also want Robinson Reade to be an enjoyable and supportive place to work.

If you're already working in estate agency and looking for a change, we'd love to hear from you. Equally, if you've built your experience elsewhere in sales or customer service and think your skills would transfer well into property, we'd be very happy to talk.

If you'd like to know a little more about us, take a look at the Robinson Reade website and, if you like what you see and think you'd fit into our team, we'd love to hear from you.
