Are you working in Property and looking to develop your expertise? East Sussex County Council may have an opportunity for you.

As a forward-thinking local authority committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions and delivering excellent customer service, we support our sites and clients in managing maintenance responsibilities and resolving issues effectively.

This role supports the administration of team workflows, liaising with contractors and customers to ensure maintenance queries are handled efficiently. It requires proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes, along with strong communication skills across email, Microsoft Teams, and telephone. The ability to work to deadlines as part of a team will be key.

An understanding of property and building maintenance would be useful; however, full training will be provided. This role offers a strong foundation for a career in property, with a supportive team environment and with the benefits of hybrid working.

About the Role

The Asset Management and Performance Team is focused on improving the operation of the Council’s property assets by leading on new projects to enhance the operation of our premises. The team maintains policy as well as property information and facilitates collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. The whole team sits at the front of the council’s key strategic insight and pursues opportunities to maintain and improve the council’s premises portfolio for new requirements and its ever-evolving function.

This role supports the Property Service Hub Team, managing and coordinating queries from internal and external customers across a broad range of property services. It involves working closely with both internal teams and external contractors who deliver these services.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
