Property Services Lead

UK based hybrid with travel across sites and Head Office Bury St Edmonds

As Property Services Lead for Pub Partners, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the property investment, repairs and maintenance strategy across our leased, tenanted and franchise pub estate. Reporting to the Head of Surveying, you will lead a team of surveyors, manage significant capital and maintenance budgets, and work closely with divisional leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to strategic business objectives.

This is a highly influential leadership role requiring strong commercial acumen, stakeholder management and extensive property expertise. You'll act as the key property representative within the Pub Partners division, driving investment decisions, optimising asset performance and ensuring exceptional standards of project delivery across the estate.

Job Description

As Property Services Lead for Pub Partners, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the property investment, repairs and maintenance strategy across our leased, tenanted and franchise pub estate. Qualifications

In your role as Property Services Lead – Pub Partners you will:

  • Lead the delivery of the Pub Partners capital investment and repairs & maintenance programmes, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget and deliver agreed returns.
  • Work closely with divisional leadership, finance and property teams to create and manage an investment, repair and optimisation pipeline that supports strategic objectives.
  • Manage and oversee capital expenditure and maintenance budgets while ensuring robust financial controls and reporting.
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Regional Surveyors and Apprentice Building Surveyors.
  • Ensure projects comply with company policies, statutory obligations and the requirements of the Pubs Code.
  • Build strong relationships across operational, finance, estates and executive teams to drive successful project delivery.
  • Champion continuous improvement, best practice and innovation across property investment, design and construction activities.
  • Represent the Property function at divisional executive level, providing insight, reporting and strategic recommendations.
  • Collaborate with external partners and suppliers to ensure service excellence, value for money and compliance with agreed service levels.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging opportunities and developments in property, construction and asset management.

What you'll bring

  • Extensive experience within property, construction, asset management or estate management environments.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Significant experience delivering capital investment programmes and repairs & maintenance budgets.
  • Experience within retail, hospitality, leisure or multi-site operational businesses.
  • Strong commercial awareness with the ability to evaluate business cases and maximise investment returns.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive level.
  • Ideally hold a recognised professional qualification such as RICS, CIOB, MEng/MBEng or equivalent industry experience.
