Make a difference behind the scenes

At Jewish Care, what happens behind the scenes matters. As a Property Services Porter, you'll help keep our busy Sugar & Ronson Campus running smoothly, safely and efficiently.

From setting up rooms for events and activities to moving supplies, managing deliveries and supporting teams across the campus, you'll be the person colleagues can rely on to get things done.

It's a varied, hands-on role where no two days are quite the same — and where your work directly supports our residents, members, visitors and colleagues.

This post is working 36.25 hours per week Monday to Friday with occasional Sundays when required, where time in lieu will be given.

About The Sugar & Ronson Campus

The Sugar & Ronson Campus in Redbridge is a busy, vibrant environment bringing together residential care, community services, hospitality and operational support teams.

As part of the Property Services team, you'll play an important role in keeping everything moving.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll provide practical, responsive support across the campus, including:

  • Setting up and clearing rooms for meetings, events, activities and training.
  • Moving furniture, equipment, supplies and resources safely around the campus.
  • Receiving deliveries, checking goods and reporting any discrepancies.
  • Distributing care consumables and non-clinical supplies to departments and storage areas.
  • Supporting weekly Meals on Wheels deliveries, including receiving, checking and transferring stock to freezer storage.
  • Receiving food and beverage deliveries and moving supplies to kitchens and storage areas.
  • Providing general porterage and logistical support to teams across the campus.
  • Keeping storage, delivery and operational areas organised and accessible.
  • Reporting hazards, incidents, damaged goods and delivery issues promptly.
  • Following Jewish Care's health and safety and manual handling procedures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
