I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The role can be shaped around your existing experience, with the opportunity to develop your technical expertise and broaden your exposure as your career progresses. You'll work alongside experienced lawyers and have genuine involvement in your matters, clients, and transactions.
Who they're looking for
The firm is open to hearing from Property Solicitors at all levels, from NQ upwards. Perhaps you're:
- A newly qualified solicitor looking for somewhere you can properly develop your career, work alongside experienced lawyers, and get hands-on exposure to quality work.
- An established Property Solicitor who wants to move away from a high-volume or overly corporate environment and have greater ownership, autonomy, and client contact.
- A more senior lawyer looking for a boutique setting where your experience can make a real impact and where there's the opportunity to develop strong, long-term client relationships.
Why consider it?
This is a role where the quality of the work and the level of exposure really stand out.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
- You'll be dealing with an interesting mix of individuals, business owners, entrepreneurs, and HNW clients, rather than simply working through a high-volume caseload.
- For those earlier in their career, there's the opportunity to learn from experienced lawyers and build a strong foundation across Property.
- For more experienced candidates, there's the chance to take ownership, develop client relationships, and have greater visibility within a genuinely specialist practice.
The common denominator is simple:
Good quality work. Interesting clients. An experienced team. Genuine exposure.
If you're a Property Solicitor looking for a role where you can develop, have an impact, and work on matters that are genuinely interesting, I'd be keen to hear from you.
