We’re working with a leading London Market insurer looking to hire a Delegated Property Underwriter into their high-performing team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Underwriter with Canadian and US Delegated Property experience to take ownership of a portfolio and work closely with Brokers, Coverholders, and key clients.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Underwrite Canadian and US Delegated Property business within agreed underwriting authorities.
  • Analyse and assess renewal contracts, including risk selection, pricing, wordings, and coverage.
  • Prepare Peer Review submissions incorporating pricing model and RMS output.
  • Lead and support renewal discussions with Brokers and Coverholders.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, including rate movements, CAT loads, and EPI.
  • Support the delivery of planned premium, business mix, and underwriting profitability.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Brokers, Coverholders, insureds, and distribution partners.
  • Contribute to portfolio management, risk selection, and underwriting strategy.

  • Experience underwriting Canadian and/or US Delegated Property / Binder business.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Property wordings, coverage, and risk factors.
  • Experience managing and owning a Delegated Property portfolio.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of RMS output.
  • Strong Broker and Coverholder relationship management skills.
