We’re looking for a Proposals Engineer to join our busy and ambitious team, working on contract values ranging from £100k to £5m+. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping major projects across multiple high-demand sectors.

The opportunity:

As part of our Major Projects Proposals Team, you’ll be responsible for estimating in line with our agreed business plan, ensuring accurate, competitive, and technically robust tender submissions.

You’ll be at the forefront of developing sprinkler specifications, supporting customers from initial enquiry through to detailed proposal, working collaboratively to win and deliver exceptional projects.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates for sprinkler systems on projects valued between £100k – £5m+
  • Applying strong technical knowledge across sprinkler standards including LPC and FM
  • Completing detailed site surveys and communicating effectively with all relevant stakeholders throughout the tender process
  • Working across key sectors including Automotive, Pharma, Food & Beverage
  • Applying knowledge of pricing, warehousing, distribution, and manufacturing processes
  • Collaborating closely with the Project Design Team to support both new and live contracts
  • Producing block plans to support tender documentation

👀What we’re looking for:

  • Strong working knowledge of sprinkler standards (LPC and FM)
  • Proven experience estimating sprinkler systems on mid-to-large value projects
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of pricing structures
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • A proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail
