At 2JCP, we deliver complex engineering solutions for the global energy and industrial sectors. As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Bid & Proposal Manager to lead the preparation of technically and commercially robust proposals for international projects.

Role Responsibilities

You will manage the full tendering process—from reviewing customer requirements and coordinating internal contributors to submitting the final proposal and handing over awarded projects to the execution team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing complex tenders from initial review through submission, clarification, and project handover
  • Reviewing RFQs, technical specifications, drawings, contracts, and other tender documentation
  • Developing tender strategies, schedules, and proposal preparation plans
  • Leading bid meetings and coordinating inputs across all relevant internal departments
  • Ensuring technical, commercial, and contractual inputs form a clear and consistent proposal
  • Coordinating cost estimates, schedules, cash flow, subcontractor involvement, and tender risk assessments
  • Managing customer communication, clarifications, proposal submissions, and presentations
  • Ensuring deadlines are met and continuously improving tendering processes and best practices

Requirements

Essential Requirements:

  • At least five years of relevant experience in tender or proposal management, sales, or engineering within a comparable industry
  • Experience in at least one of the following sectors, or a closely related field:
    • Gas turbines and power generation—OEM or aftermarket
    • Carbon capture and storage
    • Hydrogen production and storage
    • Waste-to-Energy or Waste-to-X
    • Power grids
    • Renewable heating
  • Experience managing complex technical and commercial tender documentation
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements, specifications, contracts, and drawings
  • Commercial awareness and a good understanding of project cost, schedule, and quality drivers
  • Fluent English at C1 level or equivalent
  • Current residence in the Czech Republic or the United Kingdom
  • Willingness to travel internationally and occasionally work outside standard hours when proposal deadlines require it

Desirable Requirements:

  • A qualification or professional background in tender management, sales, or engineering
  • A good understanding of general engineering principles
  • Experience with contract management
  • Familiarity with relevant engineering, quality codes, and industry standards
  • Experience preparing technical layouts, execution plans, or other bid-phase engineering documentation
