Are you a creative communicator with a strong understanding of the commercial fit out market and a talent for turning ideas, technical solutions and project experience into compelling bids?

We’re looking for an experienced Proposals Manager or Senior Proposals Manager to join our growing Fit Out team, supporting our ambition to build and develop our presence in the London fit out market.

This is a dedicated Fit Out role, working closely with our Fit Out leadership, preconstruction and project teams to help secure new opportunities across the private sector, from early Expressions of Interest and PQQs through to competitive Design & Build tenders, two-stage bids, interviews and client presentations.

You’ll be at the centre of our work winning activity, helping us respond quickly and creatively to opportunities while ensuring every submission clearly communicates why Willmott Dixon is the right partner.

Working flexibly from home and from our office opposite the Old Bailey, you’ll have a passion for producing high-quality bids and ideally bring experience of working within the fit out, interiors or wider construction market.

The role:

As Proposals Manager within our Fit-Out team, you will:

  • Lead the development of EOIs, PQQs, tender submissions and D&B bids from initial strategy through to final submission.
  • Work closely with our Fit-Out lead, Project Managers, estimators, designers, planners and other specialists to shape compelling proposals.
  • Develop clear win themes and differentiators that respond to the client's priorities and set us apart from our competition.
  • Turn technical, commercial and operational information into clear, persuasive and client-focused written responses.
  • Lead answer planning sessions, bid workshops and tender reviews, challenging the team to continually improve the quality of our submissions.
  • Help shape the overall look, feel and messaging of bids, ensuring submissions are engaging, concise and visually strong.
  • Support client presentations, tender interviews and pitch material, helping teams communicate our offer confidently and consistently.
  • Manage submission programmes and contributors to ensure deadlines are achieved in the fast-paced environment of private-sector fit out.
  • Capture and develop project experience, case studies and reusable content as we continue to build our Fit-Out capability and credentials.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
