Are you ready to shape the future of industrial automation?
At Siemens, we are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially minded Proposals Engineer to join our Project Execution team in Manchester. You will be at the heart of our growth, translating complex engineering challenges into winning technical and commercial solutions that help our clients digitalise and automate their operations.
You’ll make a difference by:
- Lead the end-to-end bid process, ensuring all proposals are technically accurate, commercially viable, and submitted on time.
- Translate complex client specifications into persuasive technical descriptions, executive summaries, and clear project scopes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Legal, Finance) to align proposals with business and client goals.
- Develop competitive pricing models and commercial terms while identifying and mitigating potential project risks.
- Drive continuous improvement by analysing bid outcomes and maintaining a high-quality repository of proposal templates.

What we are looking for:
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Software) or a related field.
- Experience in proposals, applications, or project engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge of PLCs, SCADA, Drives, and Industrial Automation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
