Role Description
The Proposals Engineer is a full-time, hybrid role based in Greater London, with the flexibility to work from home part of the time. This role is responsible for developing technical and commercial proposals for filtration and liquid cooling solutions, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Reviewing tenders and specifications
- Coordinating with engineering and sales teams
- Preparing cost estimates
- Drafting detailed proposal documentation
- Liaising with suppliers for pricing and technical data
- Supporting customer meetings and presentations
- Contributing to bid strategies that enhance win rates and profitability
- Maintaining proposal templates
- Improving proposal processes
- Supporting handover to project delivery teams once contracts are secured
Qualifications
- Strong proposal preparation and proposal writing skills, including the ability to produce clear, accurate technical and commercial documentation.
- A solid foundation in electrical engineering or a closely related engineering discipline, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and system designs.
- Experience in sales support, including collaborating with sales teams to develop competitive bids and customer-focused solutions.
- Procurement-related skills, such as obtaining supplier quotations, evaluating technical and commercial offers, and supporting cost optimization.
- Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, or similar), or equivalent practical experience in an engineering or proposals role.
- Additional beneficial skills include strong analytical and numerical abilities, proficiency with MS Office and engineering documentation tools, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Experience in data center infrastructure, liquid cooling, or filtration systems, as well as familiarity with industry standards and tender processes, is an advantage.
