As a work-winning specialist, you will work within a team that is helping to deliver resilient, low-carbon energy infrastructure.

You will be a key member of bid teams, facilitating bid win strategies and leading the writing team to produce high-scoring proposals and presentations. You will be equally happy managing proposals or working as part of a larger bid team, writing high-scoring tender responses for energy clients.

The Purpose Of This Position Is To

  • Lead the production of high-scoring, compliant PQQ and tender proposals for energy infrastructure projects and framework bids, or act as a senior writer in energy bids led by others.
  • Complete high-scoring PQQ and tender proposal responses.
  • Line manage other proposals professionals within the Energy sector.
  • In collaboration with the Infrastructure Proposals team, champion a high standard of proposal management and writing in the energy sector and consistently deliver this.

Your team

This is a predominantly home-based role, with 1–2 days spent in Central London or Wellingborough during key stages of the tender process.

Making Possible

  • Manage the development of bid proposals and other work-winning submissions for energy sector clients, following BAM guidelines and APMP principles.
  • Lead the writing team to deliver high-scoring, compliant responses on time while developing and delivering tender responses allocated to you.
  • Support the bid team in pre-bid preparation. Facilitate the development of a bid/proposal win strategy.
  • Organise, facilitate and/or present at collaborative bid meetings and workshops needed to develop the proposal.
  • Manage the shared workspace used for proposal development and finalisation.
  • Define proposal deliverables and create the proposals development process and programme, including any pre-bid stage.
  • Advise the Sector Preconstruction Lead for Energy on writing resource demands, progress and barriers to successful completion.
  • Lead the proposal review programme and brief writers on review comments.
  • Liaise with graphic designers on graphics and format requirements.
  • Finalise tender responses by bid programme deadlines and collaborate with the bid team on upload.
  • Lead any post-bid lessons learned exercise, focusing on the proposals element.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
