At RAC, we're looking for a commercially minded and customer-obsessed proposition manager to help shape and optimise our acquisition products and services.
This is a pivotal role where you'll use customer insight, market intelligence and performance data to ensure our propositions genuinely meet customer needs while delivering sustainable commercial growth.
As the voice of the customer, you'll champion consumer needs across the business, balancing customer outcomes with commercial performance to drive improvements in conversion, customer attachment, value and retention.
Working closely with teams across Product, Marketing, Pricing, Digital, Insight, Sales and Customer Services, you'll take propositions from insight and idea through to delivery, ensuring every decision is backed by evidence and focused on creating value for both our customers and RAC.
What You'll Be Doing
- Act as the consumer champion, ensuring customer needs are at the heart of proposition development and optimisation.
- Use customer insight, behavioural data, market trends and competitor intelligence to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Translate customer needs into compelling propositions, products and experiences that deliver measurable business results.
- Drive improvements in acquisition performance, conversion, customer attachment and average revenue per customer.
- Develop robust business cases supported by financial analysis, forecasting and commercial recommendations.
- Prioritise proposition roadmaps based on customer value, commercial return and strategic objectives.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through to implementation and measurement.
- Create clear proposition briefs that enable Digital, Marketing and Sales teams to execute effectively.
- Monitor proposition performance and continuously refine customer journeys, messaging and value propositions.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines commercial acumen with a genuine passion for understanding customers.
You'll be naturally curious, highly analytical and comfortable working with large volumes of data, but equally able to think creatively and turn insight into action.
You'll bring:
- Proven experience developing and optimising customer propositions, products or services.
- A strong customer focus and track record of advocating for customer needs.
- Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to identify growth opportunities and make evidence-based recommendations.
- Strong analytical capability, using data and performance metrics to inform decision making.
- Experience translating customer research and insight into tangible product or proposition improvements.
- Confidence building business cases and presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- The ability to balance customer outcomes with commercial objectives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working across multiple business functions.
- A delivery-focused mindset with the ability to turn ideas into measurable results.
- Experience within subscription, membership, insurance, financial services or other regulated consumer environments would be advantageous.
