COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Eos Space Technology Ltd is a UK-based startup developing compact, scalable electric propulsion systems that enable end-to-end space mobility solutions for small satellites. The company focuses on delivering high-lifetime, high-manoeuvrability options to support novel space-based applications. By offering smaller, efficient propulsion systems, Eos aims to extend mission lifetimes and enhance operational flexibility for its customers. The technology is designed to unlock additional revenue streams by improving satellite performance and enabling more agile, responsive missions. Applicants will join a growing team working on innovative hardware at the intersection of state-of-the-art space engineering and commercial applications.

ABOUT THE ROLE - OVERVIEW

We are rapidly growing with increasing demand for both our products and our expertise. To support this, we are expanding our engineering team and seeking a highly motivated Propulsion Assembly, Integration & Test Engineer to join us on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development and validation of our electric propulsion systems.

The role is critical to accelerating our testing capabilities and advancing our technology readiness. Working closely with our core team, you will take ownership of test campaign execution, data analysis, and system integration. You will be the hands-on technical expert responsible for ensuring our propulsion systems perform reliably in representative environments.

This position offers huge opportunities for growth and responsibility. As a key member of a small team and one of the first hires, you will have the chance to shape the direction of our testing operations and contribute directly to the success of our mission. The role requires a practical engineer with strong technical skills, a systematic approach to problem-solving, and the flexibility to adapt to ambitious and evolving project timelines.

This role is based at our lab space in the University of Surrey with hybrid working arrangements (minimum 3 days on-site per week, with flexibility on remaining days). Note: Unfortunately, due to difficulties with visas we are only able to hire candidates with a right-to-work in the UK.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
