ABOUT YOU
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work and is looking to develop their expertise within a professional testing environment. As a Propulsion Test Engineer, you will have an engineering background, with flexibility around your specific discipline, combined with a customer-focused approach and a proven ability to deliver results at pace. You will be solutions-driven, adaptable, and confident working in a fast-paced environment where quality, performance and customer requirements are key.
Required skills and experience:
- Engineering Degree, preferably in a Mechanical, Electrical or Automotive discipline, desirable
- Extensive industry-relevant engineering experience desirable
- Great team-working ethic with the ability to drive tasks in a collaborative manner
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Microsoft 365 experience with an understanding of an eye for detail and compliance
- Self-driven and able to be innovative and solution-oriented
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering world-class propulsion testing. You'll lead and support the planning, execution, and analysis of complex propulsion system tests, working with specialist facilities and cutting-edge technology to help clients validate the performance of their products. As part of a collaborative and highly skilled engineering team, you'll have the opportunity to develop your technical expertise, influence continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to the delivery of safe, accurate, and high-quality testing services that make a real impact.

Key activities:
- Conduct tests on propulsion systems using laboratory-based facilities
- Assist in developing test plans to simulate real-world conditions for various industries (Automotive, Motorsport, Aerospace, Commercial)
- Support project setup activities, engaging all key stakeholders in the standard Intertek process
- Monitor and record test data, ensuring it meets quality and performance standards
- Prepare comprehensive test reports, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including management and clients
- Assist in troubleshooting any technical issues that arise during testing, introducing solutions to prevent recurrence
