Protection Adviser - Self Employed - Genuine £150K OTE
Warm Mortgage Leads | Established Client Bank | 50%+ Commission | No Cold Calling
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Protection Adviser to effectively build and own the protection side of an established, highly successful mortgage brokerage.
You’ll be the sole Protection Adviser working alongside two successful, driven Directors who want someone they can trust to take complete ownership of protection.
The opportunity is significant.
Every mortgage client is passed to you for protection advice, alongside access to a substantial six-year bank of existing mortgage clients who have already built a relationship with the business.
There is no shortage of opportunity. In fact, the opposite is true.
With commission starting at 50%, genuine lead volume and an established client bank to work through, the earning potential is exceptional. For the right Adviser, £150,000 OTE is genuinely achievable.
The Opportunity
The business has been built by experienced Mortgage Advisers who want to concentrate on mortgages rather than protection.
That means:
- You are the sole Protection Adviser
- All mortgage clients are passed directly to you
- Double-figure warm leads every week
- Access to a six-year bank of existing mortgage clients
- Thousands of existing client relationships to work with
- No cold calling
- No competing with other Protection Advisers for leads
- The freedom to develop the protection proposition and make it your own

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
