Protection Adviser | South Tyneside | Permanent

Are you an experienced Protection Adviser looking for a role where you can focus on advising customers rather than generating your own leads?

We're working with a successful and growing business that is looking to add an experienced Protection Adviser to its supportive and high-performing team.

You'll benefit from a steady flow of qualified customer referrals from an established Mortgage Adviser team, meaning you'll be speaking with customers who already have a relationship with the business and an opportunity to review their protection arrangements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an adviser looking for strong earning potential, stability and long-term career progression.

What's On Offer?

  • £30,000 basic salary, DOE.
  • Uncapped monthly commission, paid monthly
  • Six-monthly performance bonus
  • Realistic OTE up to £60,000+
  • Warm, qualified customer referrals

  • Existing customer opportunities generated by the Mortgage Adviser team
  • Full-time hours, 37.5 per week, 5-day working week across a 7-day rota, office hours
  • Hybrid working available once fully competent

The Role

Working closely with the Mortgage Adviser team, you'll receive a consistent flow of customer referrals and focus on identifying and recommending suitable protection solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing qualified customer referrals generated through the Mortgage Adviser team
  • Reviewing customer's existing protection arrangements
  • Identifying gaps in cover and opportunities to improve customer protection
  • Understanding customer's personal and financial circumstances
  • Providing tailored and compliant protection advice
  • Building trust and long-term relationships with customers
  • Converting opportunities into new business
  • Managing a high volume of customer conversations effectively
  • Working towards individual sales and performance targets
  • Maintaining accurate records and client documentation
  • Delivering excellent customer service whilst remaining fully compliant

About You

We're looking for an experienced Protection Adviser who is commercially driven, customer-focused and passionate about delivering the right outcomes for clients.

You'll ideally have:

  • CeMAP 1 qualified (essential)
  • Current or recent experience as a Protection Adviser
  • Hands-on experience advising customers on protection products
  • Strong understanding of the protection advice process
  • Experience working with referrals, existing customers or warm leads
  • A confident and professional telephone manner
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to identify customer needs and provide suitable recommendations
  • Previous experience working within a target-driven environment
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
