Company Description
Tavistock Protect, formerly Precise Protect, is part of the Tavistock Investments Group — an AIM-listed financial services organisation with over 400 advisers and more than £5 billion in investments under management. The Group offers a full range of services spanning insurance, mortgages, pensions, investments, estate planning, wills and business finance. Tavistock Protect holds one of the largest protection panels in the industry, giving advisers access to competitively priced cover across the whole of market, with client care at the centre of everything it does.
Advisers are supported to build and run their own client bank as a genuinely self-employed "business within a business", backed by a market-leading training academy with clear, funded pathways to CeMAP-qualified mortgage adviser or independent financial adviser status.
Role Description
This is a self-employed, work-from-home Protection Adviser role, giving you full ownership of how you build and run your practice while providing tailored insurance and protection advice to individual and business clients. You'll meet clients face-to-face, by phone or by video call, assess their needs, explain protection products in plain terms, and recommend policies that genuinely fit their circumstances and objectives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
