The Risk Intelligence Center (RIC)

The Risk Intelligence Center (RIC) delivers actionable intelligence on the global security & threat landscape, providing decision-making advantage and confidence to protect people, property and assets and to help make the world a safer place.

The RIC is part of Securitas' new business unit, Security Risk Management (SRM), which is a holistic, intelligence-led approach to identifying, understanding, monitoring and acting on risks specific to each client and a critical component in the 'Insight 2030' strategy, which positions Securitas as the world's leading intelligence-led security partner.

Role Overview

As a Protective Intelligence Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to proactively identify and mitigate security threats through comprehensive analysis and strategic insights.

Key Details:

  • Salary: £30-35K per annum, dependent upon skills and experience
  • Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (0700-1900)
  • Location: Based in Milton Keynes (in office)

Essential Requirements:

  • You must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis, without the need for sponsorship
  • Live within a 45-minute (door-to-door) commute of the office in Milton Keynes
  • Ideally, have 1-2 years' experience working in an intelligence or intelligence-related analytical role
  • Strong knowledge of, and genuine interest in, current affairs and the global security threat landscape
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, constructively, and professionally as part of a team

Job Description

Protective Intelligence Analysts play a key role in supporting the delivery of intelligence products and services to Securitas and its customers. This position is ideally suited to individuals with at least 1-2 years' experience in an intelligence or intelligence-related analytical role. The role also offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing development of the Risk Intelligence Center (RIC) as it progresses an ambitious programme of growth and capability enhancement.

Primary Responsibility:

The primary responsibility of the Protective Intelligence Analyst is to manage an assigned sector "desk", taking ownership of the collection, processing, and analysis of information and data to support the production of intelligence products and services for both internal stakeholders and commercial customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver end-to-end intelligence briefs, including collection, processing, analysis, production, and dissemination of intelligence relating to risks impacting people, property, and assets globally.
  • Monitor and identify emerging activity, trends, and indicators that may pose risk or have operational impact, using a combination of intelligence tools, structured research, and manual collection.
  • Analyse information using recognised intelligence techniques and contribute clear, proportionate judgement to support proactive decision-making.
  • Produce high-quality intelligence products autonomously or in support of senior colleagues, including alerts, reports, assessments, investigations, and verbal briefings.
  • Disseminate intelligence to a range of stakeholders, both internally within Securitas and commercially to customers in the UK and internationally.
  • Support continuous improvement through evaluation and feedback, maintaining consistency, quality, and best practice across intelligence outputs.
  • Contribute to the development of sources, methods, and approaches, maintaining awareness of innovation and emerging best practice within intelligence.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the RIC and the wider Securitas organisation, including client-facing teams and global partners.
  • Operate in line with our core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness, maintaining a strong awareness of risk, safety, and compliance.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Must have the right to work in the UK permanently and have a five-year checkable employment history, or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment
  • Must live within a 45-minute commute to the office in Milton Keynes, or be willing to relocate
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English to deliver intelligence reports to various audience levels
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage openly, professionally, and with warmth in day-to-day collaboration
  • Ability to prioritise and plan own work and manage time effectively to meet objectives and deadlines, while remaining calm under pressure
  • The ability to embody and uphold the Securitas core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness
