You will represent the Calibre Scientific Protein Sciences portfolio, including Anatrace, Molecular Dimensions, Agar Scientific, Protein Ark, NeXtal and BioServ, supporting customers across protein expression, purification, stabilisation, crystallisation, structural biology, cryo-EM and associated molecular biology applications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Taking commercial ownership of an agreed South UK territory and delivering revenue growth against agreed sales targets
  • Developing existing pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical accounts and identifying opportunities for further growth
  • Generating new business across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic and life science organisations
  • Building relationships with scientists, laboratory managers, R&D teams, procurement professionals and other key decision-makers
  • Using a consultative sales approach to understand customer workflows and recommend appropriate products and solutions
  • Identifying cross-selling opportunities across the wider Protein Sciences portfolio
  • Developing territory and account plans for priority customers
  • Proactively prospecting through field visits, telephone, virtual engagement, networking, conferences and targeted account development
  • Maintaining a strong, qualified sales pipeline and accurate information within CRM/HubSpot
  • Working collaboratively with Technical Specialists, Product Managers, Marketing and internal sales colleagues

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Previous experience selling into pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical R&D organisations and knowledge of protein sciences, protein purification, structural biology, crystallography, cryo-EM or molecular biology would be highly desirable.

This is not an entry-level or graduate sales position. We are looking for someone who already understands successful scientific selling and is ready to take greater ownership of a territory and develop larger pharmaceutical accounts.

The initial territory will primarily cover the South of the UK. As our pharmaceutical strategy develops, there may also be opportunities to support selected pharmaceutical accounts and commercial activities within Europe.
