Are you an experienced Protein Scientist looking to make an impact in drug discovery?
We're recruiting on behalf of a successful pharmaceutical company seeking a talented scientist to join its Molecular Sciences team. You'll play a key role in developing recombinant protein expression and purification strategies to support structural biology, biophysics and early-stage drug discovery programmes.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop recombinant protein expression in prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems
- Optimise protein purification using AKTA chromatography
- Produce high-quality proteins for structural biology and biophysical studies
- Support multidisciplinary drug discovery projects
- Collaborate with internal scientists and external partners

What we're looking for:
- PhD with relevant postdoctoral or industry experience
- Strong background in recombinant protein expression and purification
- Experience with chromatographic techniques and protein characterisation e.g. AKTA
- Experience with membrane proteins or multi-subunit protein complexes is essential
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Desirable experience: Cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, NMR, SPR, ITC, mass spectrometry, TSA/DSF, nanodiscs, AI/ML for construct design, FBDD or SBDD.
