Prototype Paint Technicians (Contract)
At Vital, we deliver high-quality prototypes, demonstrators, and mockups across the automotive, aerospace, and future transport sectors. Working with forward-thinking global clients, we help bring next-generation concepts to life through technical excellence and hands-on delivery.
As our paint team continues to grow, we're looking for experienced Prototype Paint Technicians to join us on a contract basis.
You'll be responsible for:
- Surface preparation, including cleaning, masking, sanding, and priming
- High-quality paint application across a range of vehicles and components
- Finishing processes including polishing and buffing to achieve premium standards
- Maintaining excellent quality, safety, and housekeeping practices

What you'll bring:
- Automotive refinishing experience
- Strong skills in surface preparation, paint mixing, spray application, and finishing
- A meticulous eye for detail and commitment to quality
- Knowledge of PPE, safety regulations, and environmental compliance
- The ability to work effectively within a collaborative, hands-on team

Contract Opportunity
This role is offered on a contract basis and is ideally suited to self-employed contractors operating as a sole trader or through a limited company. This role has been assessed as outside IR35
