About the Role
We are seeking skilled Prototype Wiremen/Wirepersons for both permanent roles and short-term contracts to support cutting-edge defence projects. You will build complex, first-time-build assemblies, prototyping advanced systems to critical deadlines.
What You Will Do
- Interpret schematics: Build directly from complex wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, and circuit layouts.
- Prototype wiring: Execute high-standard panel wiring, chassis assembly, and rack integration.
- Hand soldering: Perform precision soldering on fine-pitch components and connectors.
- Cable fabrication: Loom, bind, and crimp cables to stringent military specifications.
- Fault finding: Identify and resolve wiring errors during the initial build phase.

What We Are Looking For
- Defence experience: Proven track record in aerospace, defence, or high-reliability electronics sectors.
- Industry standards: Qualified to or strong working knowledge of IPC-A-620 or IPC-J-STD-001.
- Prototype expertise: Experience building custom assemblies without established production lines.

What We Offer
- Contract rates: Highly competitive hourly rates (Inside/Outside IR35).
- Permanent salary: Excellent hourly and overtime rates.
- Other Benefits include: Standard 4-day week (Mon-Thurs), Desirable Pension, Overtime, Holiday and Sickness Pay subject to type of contract
