Play an important role in supporting the accurate and timely reporting of the Bank's prudential capital position across the UK and EU.
Working across Finance, Risk, Regulatory Reporting, and Technology, you will help deliver capital calculations and regulatory reporting under the CRR3 and Basel 3.1 frameworks. This is an opportunity to apply your technical judgement and analytical expertise within a growing organisation, supporting new products, an expanding balance sheet, and the continued development of robust and efficient reporting processes.
What will I be doing?
- Support the production, review, and analysis of monthly and quarterly prudential capital calculations, covering areas including credit risk, large exposures, leverage ratio, and operational risk.
- Prepare, review, and submit COREP returns accurately and within regulatory deadlines, applying the relevant EBA and PRA taxonomies, validation rules, and reporting instructions.
- Support annual and interim Pillar 3 disclosures, including their preparation, review, and reconciliation.
- Interpret prudential requirements and translate them into clear calculation methodologies, data requirements, reporting processes, and controls.
- Produce monthly reporting packs, weekly reports, and analysis for internal stakeholders.
- Perform data validation, reconciliations, and variance analysis, investigating reporting issues across source systems, including Moody's and the general ledger.
- Partner with Finance, Risk, Regulatory IT, and Data teams to resolve data-quality issues and implement sustainable reporting solutions.
- Maintain clear procedures, calculation documentation, and supporting evidence, while identifying opportunities to automate and streamline reporting without compromising governance or control.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
