Job Opportunity: Senior Healthcare Support Worker
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our amazing team working between our 7 bedded Acute Medical Assessment Unit and our Ambulatory Emergency Care Department, at Dr. Gray’s Hospital, Elgin

- The post holder should be motivated and have a growing interest in acute medicine and unscheduled care.
Responsibilities
As part of a multidisciplinary team, the post holder will:
- Carry out routine individual care duties for patients in support of the nursing team.
- Carry out assigned duties to maintain patients’ personal care and hygiene needs.
- Carry out set clinical skills to ensure effective and efficient care delivery, such as cannulation, venepuncture, taking ECGs, etc.
- Be responsible for stock rotation, management of equipment, keeping the departments clean, tidy and clutter-free.
- Deliver safe, effective care and appropriately carry out clinical interventions with competence.
Qualifications
The post holder must have:
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under some pressure.
- Ability to prioritize their workload effectively.
- Preferably, previous experience working within an acute clinical setting.
