Program Director/Senior Director, MDP Compensation & Equity – Boston/London

Locations: Boston | London

Who We Are

Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when founded in 1963. Today, we help clients with total transformation—inspiring complex change, enabling organizations to grow, building competitive advantage, and driving bottom-line impact.

To succeed, organizations must blend digital and human capabilities. Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise—and a range of perspectives—to spark change. BCG delivers solutions through curated offerings, including leading-edge management consulting, technology and design, corporate venturing, and business purpose. Operating in a collaboratively agile model across the firm, through all levels of the client organization, we generate meaningful results.

What You’ll Do

As a member of BCG’s Partners Service Group (PSG), you’ll advise Managing Directors (MDPs) and global leadership on developing, maintaining, and executing world-class evaluation, development, compensation, and equity programs for the firm’s MDPs.

BCG’s over 2,000 MDPs are responsible for driving business in their markets and practice areas, and their reward systems must reflect the firm’s ambition to shape the world while fostering growth. PSG operates in a fast-paced environment where precision, innovation, and transparent communication are critical to the success of BCG’s leadership incentive structures.

Initially, you’ll induct into BCG’s Compensation and Equity Framework under our guidance. After establishing yourself, you’ll become the primary contact for MDPs and leadership in the North America region, focusing on compensation and equity frameworks—including bonus plans, deferred compensation, and partnership equity. You’ll handle sensitive and personal matters with both credibility and empathy, ensuring programs remain globally competitive while accounting for regional variations in law and market norms.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Country-specific MDP program management, ensuring equitable and market-aligned compensation plans.
  • Supporting MDPs in understanding their compensation and equity allocation, its performance linkage with BCG, and associated tax implications.
  • Designing and maintaining country programs, collaborating with tax, partnership, and labor law experts to align with BCG’s global framework.
  • Translating complex financial and legal requirements into transparent, commercial, and engaging communications for leadership.
  • Overseeing equity transactions (purchases/retirements) with tax analysis.
  • Managing career milestones, including transfers, departures, and lateral hires.
  • Coordinating with external advisors and internal teams (tax, finance, legal) to maintain compliance and execution quality.
  • Continuously evaluating, adjusting, and improving programs based on risk appetite and changing environments.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
