Full Job Description

Job Title: PSHE Teacher

Location: 3 Dimensions School, Chard, Somerset, TA20 3AJ

Hours: 30 hours per week | Monday – Friday

Salary: £25,000 per annum (not pro rata)

Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

Start: December 2026

UK applicants only – no sponsorship available

About the Role

3 Dimensions is looking for a dedicated PSHE Teacher to join our committed team. You'll deliver engaging, meaningful lessons that equip pupils with the knowledge, confidence and life skills they need to succeed both in school and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging PSHE lessons tailored to individual learning needs and personalised pathways.
  • Support pupils' personal development, emotional wellbeing and preparation for adulthood, including relationships and sex education.
  • Promote positive behaviour and create a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Support educational visits and wider curriculum activities.
  • Work closely with colleagues, families and external professionals to support pupil progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports, reviews and multi-disciplinary meetings.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of every pupil at all times.

About You

  • QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience working with children and young people.
  • An understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly autism, or a genuine willingness to develop this expertise.
  • Excellent relationship-building and behaviour management skills.
  • The confidence to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
  • Resilience, patience and a calm, professional approach in challenging situations.
  • A passion for helping young people develop the skills they need for life.

3 Dimensions School is in an exciting phase of growth and development. With not just one, but two school sites! Resulting in a far wider offer of educational places, and a wealth of opportunities for young people with SEN (i.e., Learning difficulties, speech, language and communication difficulties, Autism, ADHD, SEMH, PDA, Attachment Disorder, and young people who have experienced previous trauma).
