Job Description
Are you an experienced PSV Technician looking for a high-paying permanent role within a busy passenger transport engineering environment?
We are recruiting a Shift Engineer to join an established bus engineering operation in East London.
You will be responsible for maintaining, inspecting and repairing a modern PSV fleet, helping ensure vehicles remain safe, reliable and available for daily service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on buses and coaches
- Completing scheduled vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Identifying and repairing defective components
- Preparing vehicles for MOT and regulatory inspections
- Responding to vehicle defects and engineering issues
- Completing maintenance documentation accurately
- Ensuring all work meets DVSA and company standards
- Maintaining high Health & Safety and workshop standards

Desired Skills And Experience
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Previous PSV, bus or coach maintenance experience
- A valid PCV driving licence
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills
- Good knowledge of DVSA vehicle maintenance standards
- The ability to work effectively within a shift-based engineering environment
Experienced HGV Technicians with strong PSV exposure may also be considered.
HOURS AND PAY
- Hourly Rate: £30
- The role operates on a shift basis, working any five days out of seven.
