Salary: Up to £25 per hour + Overtime

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced PCV Engineer to join a busy Engineering Department and play a vital role in keeping a modern commercial vehicle fleet safe, reliable and operational.
You'll be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance and repair of PCV and HGV vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with current safety and regulatory requirements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking for stability, good working hours, paid overtime and genuine opportunities to develop their skills and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled 6-weekly inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
- Complete servicing, repairs and maintenance to PCV vehicles
- Identify faults efficiently and carry out effective repairs to minimise vehicle downtime
- Prepare vehicles for MOT and annual testing
- Ensure all vehicles meet required safety and regulatory standards
- Complete maintenance records, inspection sheets and other relevant documentation accurately
- Work safely and professionally at all times, maintaining high standards of workmanship
- Support the wider Engineering team to ensure the fleet remains operational and road-ready

About You
We're looking for an experienced and motivated engineer who takes pride in their work and understands the importance of vehicle safety and reliability.
You'll ideally have:
- Relevant engineering qualifications or proven experience working on PCV or HGV vehicles
- Previous experience in commercial vehicle maintenance
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Good IT and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A full UK driving licence
- A professional, reliable and safety-focused approach
- A willingness to obtain a PCV licence - training can be provided
