Engineering Manager / Depot Manager
We currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager or Depot Manager to lead a team of engineers and technicians in the London area, driving operational excellence across vehicle maintenance, reliability, and compliance with the TfL London Bus sector.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing the workshop in a cost effective and safe manner
- Leading and developing the engineering team to achieve outstanding performance.
- Managing planned maintenance
- Using both data and technology to optimise fleet performance and reduce downtime.
- Recording and rectifying any defects reported by staff
- Dealing with the maintenance, health and safety and environmental impact of Company premises and ensuring legislative compliance.
- Minimising engineering lost mileage by delivering safe and reliable vehicles to ensure traffic requirements are met.
- Interviewing candidates for new openings within the workshop
- Carrying out disciplinaries

Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally come from the PSV / PCV / HGV / Bus / Truck sector and have previous experience in a Senior Management capacity.
You will hold an industry recognised qualification and ideally have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
You should have a thorough understanding of mechanical engineering and vehicle maintenance procedures for HGV, PSV / PCV / Bus or Coach.
