Main Duties And Responsibilities

As a qualified PWP, you have a vital role to play in the service we provide to our clients. Using your clinical expertise, you will assess the suitability of new referrals through telephone assessments and provide short term, low intensity interventions via telephone, face to face, video support and group support and use of computerised CBT.

As a qualified PWP, you will have regular clinical group supervision and regular case management and line management.

Facilitating groups is an essential part of the PWP role at Waltham Forest Talking Therapies to support clients with depression and anxiety using low intensity interventions.

There is an expectation to attend the office at least one day a week and to work one evening a week.

Applicants must have a qualification in offering low intensity CBT interventions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
