Clincal Psychologist - Cognitive & Adaptive Function Assessments (Autism Service)
Location: Nationwide Opportunities Available
Contract: ASAP - Ongoing
Pay: £700 per completed assessment (outside IR35, all-inclusive)
Hours: 08:30 – 18:30 (weekdays, with weekend options)
About The Role
We are seeking HCPC-registered Psychologists to join our autism diagnostic service for children aged 5–11 years across the UK. You will focus on delivering cognitive and adaptive assessments, working within a dedicated MDT that includes paediatricians, psychiatrists, psychologists, SALTs and OTs.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and score cognitive tools (WISC-V, WPPSI-IV)
- Deliver adaptive functioning assessments (Vineland-3, ABAS-3)
- Interpret results and contribute to diagnostic formulation within the MDT
- Provide written reports integrated into the child’s diagnostic outcome (submitted within 6–8 weeks)
- Participate in family feedback sessions and contribute to the 6-week follow-up call where required

Essential Requirements
- HCPC registration as a Psychologist (Educational/Child)
- Demonstrated competence with WISC-V, WPPSI-IV, Vineland-3, ABAS-3
- Recent experience in autism/neurodevelopmental assessments - ADOS
- Enhanced DBS and up-to-date safeguarding training
