Position: Adolescent Suicide & Self-Harm Specialist
Type: Contract
Compensation: $45 - $95/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Review adolescent case materials and generate structured, written risk assessments for suicide and self-harm presentations.
- Apply validated tools and expert risk formulation to inform clear, actionable guidance.
- Differentiate between self-harm, suicidal ideation, and intent, and characterize acuity levels with precision.
- Recommend response protocols, including escalation pathways, safety planning, and means-restriction strategies.
- Identify comorbidities, safeguarding, and contextual factors influencing risk, and incorporate these into assessments.
- Document guidance in clear, research-grade English for non-specialists to implement recommended actions confidently.

Requirements
- Have strong relevant experience with direct adolescent clinical contact focused on suicide/self-harm risk.
- Specialist credentials in child/adolescent psychiatry or psychology, with demonstrated expertise in suicide/self-harm interventions.
- Active clinical license or registration in good standing, with an active adolescent caseload within the past two years.
- Advanced proficiency in suicide/self-harm risk assessment tools.
- Familiarity with evidence-based adolescent interventions.
