Job Description:
Shire Healthcare are working with a leading provider of specialist residential care and education to recruit an HCPC Registered Psychologist for a therapeutic service supporting children and young people across Nuneaton.
About the employer:
This specialist provider supports children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural and developmental needs. Their multidisciplinary teams deliver trauma-informed therapeutic support within psychologically informed environments to help young people recover from adversity and build resilience.
Role snapshot:
The successful candidate will provide psychological assessments, formulations and interventions for children and young people with complex presentations, including developmental trauma, autism, learning disabilities and SEMH needs. You will also provide consultation, reflective practice and training to teams, while supporting trauma-informed care and service development.

- Contract type: Permanent
- Hours: Part-Time (1–2 days per week)
- Salary: £70,000 FTE (Pro Rata)
Experience required:
Applicants must hold a Doctorate in Clinical, Counselling, Forensic or Educational Psychology and be HCPC registered. Experience working with children and young people with complex needs, including trauma, neurodevelopmental conditions and SEMH presentations, is essential. Experience within residential care, education or similar settings is desirable.
