Shire Healthcare are working with a leading provider of specialist care and education recruiting for a Psychologist to be based in Preston.
About the employer:
This employer is an independent leading provider of specialist care and education. They work with children and young people in either an educational and/or residential setting who present a complexity of needs including developmental trauma, neuro-developmental conditions, autism, ADHD, and special educational needs.
Role snapshot:
The candidate appointed will be joining an MDT working with children and young people (ages 9-18) as well as supporting educational and residential colleagues to provide engaging care. The post holder will conduct assessments, formulations, and deliver 1:1 interventions to service users.

You will provide consultation, training, and workshops while contributing to service development initiatives.
- Contract type – permanent and term time
- Hours – 3 days per week
- Salary - The term-time salary scale is £54,500 - £64,000 (32,750 – £38,400 for 3 days per week)
Experience required:
Candidates applying will be registered with the HCPC, along with having previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs such as autism, ADHD, SEMH, and/or learning disabilities.
