Pay: Up to £110 per day

We are currently recruiting Aspiring Educational Psychologists to join fantastic SEN schools across Guildford, Surrey starting in October.
About the Role:
This is an ideal opportunity for a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience before progressing into a career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Child Development, or other specialist support roles.
You’ll be joining inclusive and supportive SEN settings that place pupil wellbeing, inclusion, and personal development at the heart of everything they do. These schools are committed to creating environments where every child feels understood, valued, and supported to reach their full potential.
This role is perfect for someone who wants to become a familiar and trusted member of a school community while developing their understanding of SEND, behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and child development.
Your Main Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties.
- Building positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
- Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, confidence, and social development.
- Working alongside teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and pastoral teams to implement individual support strategies.
- Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and access the curriculum.
- Supporting classroom activities and adapting resources to meet individual needs.
- Encouraging independence, resilience, and positive engagement within the school environment.

Requirements or Skills:
- A degree in Psychology, Education, Childhood Studies, or a related subject.
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career within Educational Psychology or working with children and young people.
- Experience working with children, young people, SEND, SEMH, care, mentoring, volunteering, or support work is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- A willingness to learn and complete further training within the education sector.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
