An exceptional primary school in the heart of East London is seeking an ambitious and compassionate Psychology Graduate Learning Support Assistant to join its dedicated team on a full-time, one-year fixed-term contract starting in September 2026.

The Role
This is an ideal opportunity for a Psychology graduate seeking hands-on experience supporting children with a range of learning, behavioural, social, and emotional needs.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers, SEND professionals, and senior leaders to provide tailored support for pupils across the primary phase.

- Providing one-to-one and small-group support for pupils requiring additional assistance.
- Supporting children with SEND, SEMH, speech and language, and learning difficulties.
- Assisting teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Implementing targeted interventions to support academic progress.
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and positive learning habits.
- Supporting children's emotional wellbeing and social development.
- Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to support plans.
- Building positive and nurturing relationships with pupils, families, and staff.
- Contributing to the school's inclusive and child-centred environment.
Candidate Profile
The school is seeking an outstanding graduate with a genuine interest in child development and educational support.
Essential Requirements
- A Psychology degree from a recognised university.
- A First-Class Honours Degree or strong 2:1 classification.
- Excellent GCSE results, including strong grades in English, Mathematics, and Science.
- Strong A-Level results.
- A passion for working with primary-aged children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and professional approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships with children from a wide range of backgrounds.
