Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Wokingham
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £90 - £105 per day

Are you a Psychology graduate looking to gain valuable experience supporting children and young people with additional needs?

A welcoming and inclusive specialist school in Wokingham is seeking a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology graduate to gain hands-on experience within an education setting while developing skills relevant to future careers in educational psychology, clinical psychology, counselling, or SEN support.

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and develop their confidence.

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN
  • Support children with ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties, and SEMH needs
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
  • Support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally
  • Assist teachers with personalised learning and intervention strategies
  • Help maintain a calm, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
