Job Title: Experienced Psychotherapist
Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours
Salary: Up to £35000
Location: Yorkshire: covering Wakefield, Dewsbury, Batley, Huddersfield, Bradford

We are looking for an Experienced Psychotherapist to join our expanding Therapeutic Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to further develop and use your therapeutic knowledge and experience to support colleagues across the group to deliver positive outcomes for young people.
What you’ll get to do
- Manage your own caseloads to provide high levels of support and consultation for operational colleagues
- Provide therapeutic advice and guidance to teams to enable them to support young people throughout their journey with Horizon
- To be responsible for assessments, goal setting and recommendations for therapeutic support for your own caseload.
- To develop, write and regularly review/update therapeutic goals for children and young people in education.
- To develop and contribute to the delivery of therapeutic and psychological training to all staff in the organisation as part of the Therapeutic Academy.
- Benefit from regular supervision and CPD activities
- Benefit from opportunities to participate in service development activities across the Horizon Group

Experiences or background
- Children’s residential care or looked-after children’s services.
- Therapeutic residential settings.
- Supported accommodation for young people.
- CAMHS or community mental health services.
- Child and adolescent psychotherapy or psychology.
- Trauma and attachment-focused services.
- Work with children and young people affected by abuse, neglect, exploitation or disrupted attachments.
- Multi-agency environments involving social care, education, health and safeguarding.
- Staff consultation, reflective practice or psychologically informed training.
- Working with young people who present with emotional dysregulation, self-harm, aggression, withdrawal, risk-taking or difficulties engaging with services.
What we’re looking for from you
- HCPC registered.
- BACP, BABCP, UKCP accredited
- Experience of working with Children and Young People or relevant demonstrable transferable skills
- A desire to support services through embedding therapeutic practice
- Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision.
- Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing
- Ability to work autonomously with the support from individual and peer supervision
- Ability to role model behaviours and attitudes in line with organisational values
- A sound understanding of Microsoft Office components, including knowledge of Excel, Teams and SharePoint
- Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle
