Building Blocks Therapy Centre provides child and family therapy. We are committed to providing holistic, high-quality care to our clients, with a range of needs.

Role Overview

The counsellor/psychotherapist will be responsible for:

  • Initial consultations
  • Assessments
  • Report writing
  • Devising appropriate therapeutic plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Carrying out therapeutic services
  • Supervising therapeutic services

The post holder will be expected to work remotely.

  • Registered with one of the following: UKCP/HCPC/BACP/BABCP
  • Have experience or an evident and demonstrable interest in neuropsychology and/or behavioural interventions
  • Have experience working with children (minimum 5 years)
  • Be interested in creating interventions
  • Be interested in publishing research as part of clinical activity

You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organised environment. Often managing multiple requests at once, you’ll be comfortable multitasking, able to work on your own initiative unsupervised and, where necessary, working with other teams to ensure our clients’ therapy plans are always being updated. You will meet with both adult and child clients.

You will have a cheerful, compassionate, respectful, and caring approach and good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as an understanding of the needs of children and families, and the desire to make a positive contribution to the lives of others.

Hours

You will be hired as a self-employed practitioner. The hours will vary and will be on an ad hoc basis.

Pay

You will be paid at a rate of £45 p/h for practitioner work.
